This is my place to be creative, share things that interest me, and have a little fun. You’ll discover my writing, my fascination with weather, connections to helpful and interesting websites, my desire to speak and my passion to encourage those I meet.

My mission is to encourage, educate, and inspire through teaching, writing, and speaking.
Text Box: Being a writer is a life-long dream. Every week I have the incredible opportunity to fulfill my dream through writing my weekly column. I am currently teaching at East Davidson High School. I have a few things posted here, but the majority of what my students and their parents need is located at my school website. Text Box: Encouraging Thoughts is a collection of short stories and some previous published columns that were rewritten and include scripture.   The Bluebird Café is a novel about the people who frequent a little café in Virginia Beach. It’s a story about their lives and how they deal with a tragedy. To learn more click here... My BooksText Box: I enjoy getting the opportunity to speak to groups. I speak and have spoken in a variety of different situations. I have addressed men’s groups, women’s groups, small groups in a church setting, community organizations, school groups, conferences, retreats, and church groups. Text Box: Anyone who knows me knows my passion for weather. I am fascinated by exciting and extreme weather. I have my own La Crosse weather station. My station uploads my weather data every ten minutes to my Weather Underground site. The current data is listed below. Faith is an important part of my life. I look for God in the everyday experiences of life. Walking by faith is not easy. Sometimes, just like the flower in the picture, we have to fight to bloom where we are planted. Those are the experiences that build our faith and are often the sources of my inspiration as a writer.

 

I personally believe God wants to spend time with us, but often we get too busy or distracted. I want to encourage you to slow down and listen for His still, small voice. He speaks to your heart with a whisper which offers you the wisdom, peace,

and hope to find our

way along the path of
